Phentermine as Appetite Suppressant

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

In 1959, FDA approved a drug belonging to the amphetamine and phenethylamine class called Phentermine as an appetite suppressant. Until now, it is still being used and has been helping people with their weight problems.

Phentermine is a prescription drug that work by stimulating neuron collection in a human’s brain to release catecholamine, a group of neurotransmitters that motivate the flight or fight response of the nervous system. In the process, the hunger signal is inhibited, making you lose your appetite. Of course it will work more efficiently, just like any other weight loss products, when combined with the right exercise and healthy diet.
