Acne could be a major problem for many teenagers and unfortunately even adults are affected with the dilemma brought about by having acne. Many believed that acne is caused by dirt. However, this is not the case because acne is actually caused by the irregular peeling of dead skin cells found in the region of our hair follicles.
Dead cells, oil, and dead skin are culprits identified with acne problems characterized by the redness and swelling of the skin on the face area. Hormonal changes as well as the varying estrogen levels (for women) are also common causes of the skin irritation that is normally observed during the puberty years.
