I said I'll quit writing.. Well, I was lying then.

blog

Thursday, April 10, 2008

I envy people who still have time for their blogs. Painful it may be, I have to admit that my blog is losing its popularity - if it even had been popular.

But the decrease of readers is very alarming. Alarming? Haha. Kill me.

I am planning to delete all the links on my sidebar. Sometimes, those click-me kind of shit depresses the hell out of me. Why not? Since I started to "not being able to bloghop", I noticed a decrease with my traffic. Anyhoo, it’s better because I get to know the people who really read my blogs.

And now, I am re-assessing my blogging purpose. It should not be about the traffic or the number of readers, should it be? Yeah, like whatever.

Bitter.

Brief

Saturday, April 5, 2008

Am on my way to UP this morning when I checked the link orders in my PayU2Blog account. It was kinda cute and generous of the Triangle Media Direct to give me links again; I had just finished all the links last night.

Anyhoo, as usual I read the links and see what I can do first. And since there are only three links available, I decided to do the first link on the list. And it amused me that Zero Halliburton is one hell of a briefcase brand. Honest. It amused me.

Anyhoo, one good day to everyone! Happy Blogging!

Stressed.. got it?

I just got home. I had a very long day today, seriously.

I fetched mom from the airport this morning. We had lunch in Gateway. Then I went to UP to arrange my graduation details. After that I went to Chinabank in SM North. And then I went home to Antipolo, had dinner and left again. Around 9pm I reached UP grounds. I laid over the green grass of Sunken Garden. Then I went home. And now I am typing this.

Anyhoo, with all the walking I’ve done today and the past days, my thighs and legs are really swelling. Agh. My back aches more than you can imagine. I need a good massage therapy, with aromatic incense burning and sweet lullabies playing. Damn. I am so stressed. I really need time to relax.

I need a getaway before the first day of work. And I need it NOW. I can’t wait. Dammit.

Home Alone no more

Friday, April 4, 2008

Mom’s arriving this morning. And I will be fetching her at the airport. She was gone for three weeks and I really really missed her so much.

Weee.. ^-^

Anyhoo, I just had my last forceful effort for college the past days. I will post about it next time. For now, I just wanted to say that “Hey! Am out of college!”. Finally, school’s over. Time to face the real scary world.

See yah around!

Graduation angst

Thursday, April 3, 2008

I am not a student anymore. And I haven’t digested it yet.

I know how scary the real world out there is. Monsters are all around the place. And I don’t know if I am well armed already.

But I am excited still for my first job. I am already spending every peso of my salary: a condo unit, a Bose home theater slash entertainment package for mom, a new laptop, a more powerful desktop for gaming *although I already have Intel Pentium Core Duo (2.8ghz each) processor*, everything I can think of that I wanted to buy myself, and of course saving most of it for the pursuit of my “career”.

I know programming/software engineering/whatever computer science related stuff is not where my passion is. We know that having a job is different from having a career. And because I am not yet sure of what career path I would take *I am choosing from becoming a ‘writer’ or a ‘filmmaker’*, I would have to use what I’ve  earned hard during college.

For now, and for the coming years, say 5 to 10 years, I will have to work in companies with position that a Computer Science graduate should have.

Get rich or die trying*

Tuesday, April 1, 2008

Who never dreamt of possesing great social power? Or money? Or popularity? Suck all those who said they never did even once in their entire stupid life!

According to most of social philosophers, men are naturally greedy. They don’t stop acquiring private properties until they themselves cease. That’s evident anyway. Come on, stop the hypocrisy. We all know that.

I myself had once dreamt of being the ruler of the whole world. I am not a big fan of great luxuries like mansions, diamonds, luxury watches and all that fancy stuff but I did dream more than a couple of time to have more than what I am having now.

I sometimes feel guilty though - wishing richness and well-tailored life in a comfort zone while starving people’s wishes are just enough food to stuff their stomachs and their childrens’ and while freezing people only wish for a warm shelter that will protect them from any harm.

I know. I am not crazy about humanity and social science fuck ups. But hell, sometimes we just have to open our eyes…
