I said I'll quit writing.. Well, I was lying then.

A long post before Sunday ends

Sunday, January 27, 2008

I think I have done so much today. Really. I’ve been so productive and all that.

I woke up late today. I slept two in the morning and woke up past twelve noon. I streched and yawned and slept again for several minutes before I finally jumped out of my bed.  Speaking of my bed, I am developing the habit of neating my bed as soon as I got up. Also, I am adding to the habit the "decluttering" scheme I have adopted; put things to their right place. I have actually maintained a clean, clutter-free room since the major clean up last Wednesday night. Honestly.

Anyhoo, back to the productivity I was saying. I will just list the things I’ve proudly accomplished:

  • Read three short stories assigned for Tuesday in our MP173 class (Malikhaing Pagsulat: Pagsulat ng Prosa *elective*).
  • Listed more than twenty words for my word diary in English 1.
  • Posted one PPP post worth $8.50.
  • Posted one entry to my two other blogs.
  • Created two more blogs: Chocolatina and Frugal Cooking.
  • Did my laundry *good for a week*.
  • And of course, went to church to worship.

Slowly, I am getting back to my old self again. I am regaining what was taken from me: my worth, esteem and confidence. Tomorrow, I will be better than I am today.

Enough of the drama, I will like to share to you this IM conversation I had with my mom earlier this evening:

My Place After College

When I graduate from college, the first thing that I will do is to look for a condo unit or an apartment. If you are going to ask me how I want my place to look like, well, I can say that I have a very simple taste. I want a minimalist room- not so dull, but not so extravagant. I don’t want to have lots of stuff in it aside from the basic things such as chairs, tables, platform beds, and a couple of art works that suit my taste.

Home Shopping

Recently, I went to a home and appliance store to check out some items that I would need in the future. Some of the things that caught my attention are the super comfy sofa beds, luxurious dining tables and this finely crafted plasma tv mount that sits quietly in one corner of the store. I also took a stroll at the kitchen gallery where I found lots of useful kitchenware that my mom would surely love. I just remembered, last Christmas, Louis and I gave my mom 2 kitchenware gifts- a bamboo chopping board and a coaster for spoons and forks. I really enjoyed my home window shopping spree. Next time, I will go to the toys section!

Reading Books

Saturday, January 26, 2008

I am so glad that I was able to influence Louis with my interest in books. I told him to read the Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, my number 1 favorite book of all time. Salinger has influenced most of my writing style. He is very skilled in bringing humor out of normal events and thoughts. Louis had a great time reading the book and now he is almost halfway to finishing it. Reading books is a very healthy habit so I suggest you start going to the bookstore now.

No creative title

I woke up late today. And I wasn’t able to do my church duty. It sucks, really; saying prayer every 10pm the past days, planning the dress to wear, setting the alarm clock for this morning, and all that preparation stuff and then still failing at the end.

Argh.

I received "Wake up, CAI!!!" messages from Louis, Darrel, and Marji. And yes, two missed calls, also from Marji. Have I been sleeping too deep that I failed to notice the alarm and all those incoming calls and messages? Aww.

I will never sleep again after a long crying fit. It kills me.

Vacuum cleaners, dust fighters (LOL)

I don’t know if I am on the position to comment on this site’s name: Allergy Buyers Club (dot) com but really, it kills me. And the stuff they are selling? Vacuum cleaners. Makes sense though, the title and the product. Well, dust is indeed a grave source of allergy. And in fairness to the site, it has a good collection of vacuum cleaners, most of them in fancy colors and designs.

For Kids Only

When I was a kid, I dreamt of having my own playground in our house: seesaws, monkey bars, swing sets and slides. I know that was ambitious for a kid. Haha. I remember my friends and I have to walk a kilometer to reach the subdivision’s playground, and another half a kilometer to reach the next subdivision’s playground.

Anyhoo, I found this very cute sofa bed in Best Price Toys. Weeee..     I want this! :P   I know Pink and Green go well with each other. But Lilac is a great third party. Lol.
