I just got home and we had just watched Ouija. It's a Filipino film starring big stars in Philippine entertainment business. I am not into reviewing horror films or something but I really liked what they did with the film, giving a new touch to an old story.
Spirit of the glass have already been used in horror films. As in Filipino terms, "paso na" or "laspag na". Although Ouija had succeed taking their viewers off their seats and making them scream their lungs out and did some fine retouch of the same old story, I could still not say that it is genuinely beautiful or genuinely crafted or beautifully crafted. Whatever! Lol. I see it to be just like a concoction of different Asian horror films. I mean, like using water as some means of mysticism (as for Dark Waters) and the twins that have some brain or psyche malfunctions (as of The Ring) among many others.
