Got interviewed!

There! I have been interviewed by Sexy Mom! Weee.. I have read her interview with Noemi Dado and I really enjoyed it.
 
When I open my mail 2 days ago, I was really excited to read this one with subject 'Here are your questions, dear!'. And as I browsed through the questions, boy! Have I ever asked these questions to myself!? And then I said, 'OK, I'll think about these. Weeee.. this is harder that what I've imagined!'.

Here's the interview:

[1] Do you think you have now reached the deepest pit in your life such that there is no way now but UP, UP, UP?

I honestly couldn't tell if this is already the deepest pit I can get myself in. BUT, I can no longer afford to sink more. My relationship with my mom is not getting any better. Bills are piled on the breakfast table every morning. And boy! I am just 19! But when I came to think of it, I couldn't just let myself wither in darkness, eh?

[2] Just what is in the heart of a Cai Abbass? What do you long for ?

Hmmm.. This one is touchy. What's in my heart? I have love. I have live dreams. And I have faith. Those are the things that keep me from breaking down. Life support, they'd say. And also, in my heart lives a a little girl who longs for her father. I grew up without one.

[3] Pink Urinal, it's pink–but still a urinal. Why so? Why is it the name of your blog?

Many had already asked why Pink Urinal. I am not very sure also. Hahaha! But I will give you a brief history of that name. When I was in high school, I used to be our school paper's Associate Editor and at the same time a photojournalist. I carry around me an SLR to capture pictures of human interest. MMDA pink theme is just new then. I have a picture of the MMDA Male Urinal (the pink one) but it is beside a slogan that says 'Bawal Umihi Dito'. Ironic, eh? And from then on, I started taking pictures of that sort and compiled them for a photo essay entitled 'The Pink Urinal'. Then when I was writing an opinion column for UP Parser two years ago, I used the title Pink Urinal for my compiled taglines as a part of the column. Here is it:

So it all boils down to compilation. And not just compilation of anything, but of everything that interests me and have some sort of value. I mean, I won't add 'Yakult lives on!' in my compilation for nothing. There has to be something there that will tap some sense. That's why it's Pink Urinal.

But actually, when I started blogging in i.ph, my blog name was Orange Tangerine Lemons. But it sounded like a Pinoy band's name. So I dropped it after a few days. And also, it didn't make sense to me. Pink Urinal is more catchy and has a better chance to attract readers like a celebrity blog or something. C'mon. The title is quite intriguing at some point. :biggrin:

[4] I was reading "15 Weird Things about Cai", when you slashed and overdosed and tried to commit suicide–were you not afraid at all?

There is always a gap between intention and action. I could have slashed deeper through my veins. I could have drunk more "overdosing" drug. Or for more visible result, I could have jumped off the MRT or LRT. But no. I was too scared to do that. I think I was not really trying to commit suicide but was just trying to inflict a different kind of pain and to draw also the attention I needed.

[5] What gives Cai Abbass a high? A real high?

What about a warm hug from the person I love? Sometimes I really get scared and worried and all. But every time he squeezes my hands to remind me that I am not alone, I get the feeling of assurance and I get to smile again. Nothing beats that. It kills me. Really.

Phew. There. T'was really hard answering those questions. It took me five hours! But I had fun answering. The good part about it is I get to connect with my inner self. That's nice.
