Heir Hair

Tuesday, April 17, 2007

Hair loss is very common among men. Androgenetic Alopecia or male pattern baldness, is the hereditary condition that causes hair loss. There is also a female pattern baldness. In diffirent culture, the hair is a very conspicuous feature in fashion, youth, sexuality and beauty definition. If your hair is starting to thin, worry not. Because even this baldness is very common, it is also very cureable.

It has been noted for long time now that surgeries, hair transplants and hair loss treatments are highly effective. One of the treatment procedures involve applying some lotion to the scalp twice a day. Another is taking pill containing finasteride, a drug that blocks the formation of the active male hormone in the hair follicle that is causing the hair growth cycle shorter. Also, surgeries and transplant are possible and have a high rate of success.

Although baldness is commonly hereditary, there are still other causes of it like pregnancy, hormonal or other medicines, sever nutritional deficiencies, chemotherapy, autoimmune disorders, an underactive or overactive thyroid gland or scalp trauma, reactions to hair care products and hair grooming procedures
