Tonight, blogging is no guilty pleasure. I got nothing to do.. Err, my noteboard is yelling at my worktable’s “sidewall” with things I need to accomplish before monday. But after reformatting my pc (which by the way I installed Windows XP twice for some annoying reasons) without any backup of my installers like open office and other important stuff (well, I remember zipping ‘em all, but not able to put them in the flash disk, stupid ‘eh?), I own the right to bum the way til next morning. We just had our first staff meeting 5:30 this afternoon. The meeting was originally scheduled Friday, January 5. But due to other commitments, t'was rescheduled today.
The first agenda was about the status of Parser's first publication for this school year. Good news: it is already in the printing press and will be available this week for circulation. Bad news: we, the associate editors, were all shocked about it.. No, not because we are "happily shocked", but because we are "totally shocked"!!! We haven't even seen the layout and it is already in the printing office! And the explanation we get? He just said that it is his own discretion when the paper will go on print.

Hindi naging matagumpay ang pagpapanggap kong maging manunulat. Wala akong yosi break at hindi ako mahilig mag-kape. Sanay akong magpuyat pero hindi ako inaabot ng tanghali sa higaan. Mahilig ako sa pandesal pero kadalasan kanin ang almusal ko. Oo, may pagkasuicidal nga ako, pero walang kinalaman dito si Kurt Cobain ng Nirvana at ang kanyang mga i-hate-myself-and-i-want-to-die songs dahil kahit isa ay wala pa akong naririnig sa mga ‘yun. Madalas akong mawalan ng bolpen. Marami nga akong lapis, wala naman akong pantasa. Nagsusulat ako ng mga walang kwentang bagay (tulad nito) na madalas ako lang ang nakakaintindi dahil sabi nga nang isa kong kaibigan “anong sense?” pagkatapos basahin ang isa kong tula. Madalas trivial o kaya existential ang sinusulat ko, pero meron din naman atang substantial .

I tried answering our problem set in CS 130. For the span of a week or so, I screwed my head dipping with numbers and matrices. And this morning, after thrashing one pad paper, drawing a hundred matrices, and just before my Pilot G-Tech-C3 broke its ballpoint, i came up with two solutions for the given system equations:
using inversion:
w2 = -18.36029
x = -223.61401
y3 = -6.25763
z5 = -977.66767
using Gauss-Jordan Reduction:
w2 = 5347.12
x = 341.85
y3 = 369.558
z5 = -1139.5
And darn!! It is obviously wrong! How on earth a square be negative?! The two solutions should be equivalent, mine is pretty far from that. It is really frustrating.. And what's more frustrating is that I can't push myself further to have another shot at it. Darn.
